Dean Street Brooklyn recently had a great review the Village Voice’s food section. While the article stopper short of saying that Dean Street was one of the best pubs or bars in Brooklyn and Prospect heights, it was very complementary. Some excerpts:

“A gastropub must provide an ass-grabbingly good burger. Here, Dean Street delivers magnificently. It comes with fries, but bacon and cheese are extra, for an all-in price of $15.”

“Also keeping the carbs low, a magnificent trout—boneless, splayed, and crisply cooked—lies supine on a mesa of collards speckled with cranberry beans, in the tiniest gesture of reconciliation with starches.”

“Desserts must be killer. In this regard, Dean Street excels, offering a light take on cheesecake. At first it came glossed with caramel, but then went the blueberry compote route, which substitutes sweet moisture for mere stickiness, and calls for a cocktail.”

Check out the full article on Dean Street on the Village Voice website or come on down to Prospect Heights and check out the restaurant and bar. Dean Street Brooklyn offers a great selection of food and drink for yourself. If you’d like a preview, you can have a look at our menu and beers on-tap.

Dean Street Brooklyn has a daily happy hour from 4 to 8 pm everyday – the perfect time to come into the bar for a few drinks and stay for dinner. Sunday through Thursday there is also a second happy hour for Prospect Heights late night.  Dean Street also features live music on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Dean Street is located in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, adjacent to Park Slope and just a short ride on the C train from Manhattan.
