Brooklyn native and rap tycoon Jay-Z is set to open the Barclays Center on September 28-30th this month with a series three of sold out concerts. Brooklyn Native Barbra Streisand will also perform two shows on the 11th and 13th of October. Later in the month, Canadian rockers Rush will play a one night only show. The blockbuster names just keep on coming with The Who, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, John Legend, the Smashing Pumpkins and Justin Bieber all scheduled to perform before the end of the year. The 18,103 seat venue will also be used for professional basketball and hockey.
Getting to a Barclays event is easy. The Atlantic Avenue – Barclays Center subway station is serviced by the 2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q and R trains. Also, the Long Island Rail Road’s Atlantic Terminal is next door. Driving to the Barclays Center is strongly discouraged.
Concertgoers looking for a restaurant or bar close to the Barclays Center should come to Dean Street, pay us as visit and enjoy what we have to offer. We are pleased to be offering food and drink deals for special events and game days. Currently, a ticket stub from that night’s event can be redeemed for one (1) free drink with any purchase at Dean Street.
Dean Street is a quick 5 to 8 minute walk right down Dean St. from Barclays, which makes our bar and restaurant a perfect option for patrons looking for something that is close to the Barclays Center yet removed from the pre event hustle and bustle. Need dinner before a show? A drink afterward? Stop by and we will treat you right.
We can hardly wait until the 28th, and it seems like most of the city feels the same way. Having another venue for events and entertainment is incredibly exciting, especially since this one is in our back yard. We hope to see you soon, and remember Dean Street next time you are headed to Barclays.
