Dean Street: A Convenient Brooklyn Nets Bar

October 3, 2012

The whole borough Brooklyn Nets at Dean St.is buzzing about the newly relocated Brooklyn Nets. Between Deron Williams’ 5 year contract extension and the construction of the highly anticipated Barclays Center, there is plenty to be excited about. Our close proximity to the Barclays Center makes us an ideal restaurant and bar for Nets fans looking for great food and drink.

Nets fans have good reason to be optimistic this season. Ever since the eccentric Russian industrialist and tycoon Mikhail Prokhorov purchased a majority stake the team in 2009, the team has been willing to spend big to remake the franchise. Part owner and Brooklyn native Jay-Z has been instrumental in the team’s recent move from New Jersey to Brooklyn and the rebranding that went with the move. Ever since the Dodgers left town, there have not been pro sports in Brooklyn. Naturally, everyone is a bit excited about the upcoming season.

This season, the Nets will look to Williams to lead them with help from Brook Lopez and Kris Humphries. The rookie Tyshawn Taylor will try to impress after his great season at Kansas. Avery Johnson is entering his third season as head coach, and will seek to build the team into a playoff contender.

Nets fever has spread well beyond Brooklyn: tons of Nets games are scheduled to be nationally televised, including the season opener on November 1st against the New York Knicks. Fans are waiting with bated breath to see the Nets and the Knicks play as crosstown rivals for the first time. Other exciting Nets games to be nationally televised and played at the Barclays Center include a Christmas Day matchup with the Boston Celtics, a January 30th contest that features the NBA Champion Miami Heat and another battle for interborough bragging rights with the Knicks on December 2nd.

If you are looking for a good pregame Nets bar, we recommend you come in for game day food and drink specials. Our current deal is great for anyone looking to grab a drink and bite (or even just a couple drinks) after a game: a ticket stub from that night’s event can be redeemed for one (1) free drink with any purchase at Dean Street.

We are a convenient 5 to 8 minute walk right down Dean St. from the Barclays Center, which makes us an excellent option for fans looking for a Nets restaurant or bar near Barclays that is removed a bit from the pre and post-game crowds that you might find in Nets bars closer to the stadium. We encourage everybody to come to a game during this first and historic season, and don’t forget to visit while you’re in the neighborhood.
